About the Company
Born out of a love for all things handmade, the
Snuggle Sack was created shortly after I had my
baby in the fall of 2003, when I realized that I
needed a baby carrier (after trying numerous ones
in the market) that was safe, comfortable,
durable, practical and stylish to wear for my baby
and myself. As an established bridal accessories
designer, I take pride in the finest quality and
craftsmanship in all of my products. Made from
the softest blends of fabrics, the Snuggle Sack
quickly became a must-have item as moms from all
walks of life approached me about having one for
their very own little bundle of love. The
positive response I received was tremendous,
exciting and very fulfilling.
And so,
after extensive research and development,
Thumbelina Baby Snuggle Sacks was officially
launched in the summer of 2004, and quickly became
the baby carrier of choice by hip and stylish moms
everywhere. I am proud to say that each Thumbelina
Baby Snuggle Sack is lovingly handcrafted
sweatshop free in the United States.
There is
nothing more comforting and assuring for your baby
to be cuddled up next to you. Studies confirm that
‘wearing’ your baby makes a tremendous difference
in their well-being, growth and development. I
happen to think that it also makes a tremendous
difference in our lives as mothers, for there is
nothing more special than snuggling next to your
beloved little one all the time. It is such a
pleasure to design a baby carrier that is making
an impact in a mom and her baby’s life.
Since then,
we have expanded our line and will soon offer
unique and exclusively handcrafted toddler tutus
in vibrant colors to expand the imagination and
encourage blissful play, and a lovely line of
heirloom quilts reminiscent of old-world
craftsmanship. Partnering with my sister,
Christine Murphy, an artist, poet and mother
herself, we will also introduce to you a series of
beautiful artwork and literature for babies, made
to keep as precious mementos in the years to come.
Our
inspiration and company philosophy is sweet and
simple: Babies and Mommies first. In keeping with
this philosophy, we hope you enjoy our products.
